PRISM Smoking and Mental Illness Training Session Outline: 2004-2005 Tony P. George, M.D. and Jennifer C. Vessicchio, L.C.S.W. Summary: This one-day training is geared to mental health and addiction providers and will familiarize participants with the epidemiology, neurobiology, clinical assessment of co-morbid nicotine dependence in the mentally ill, and to learning state-of-the-art intervention approaches for addressing nicotine and tobacco dependence in individuals with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. Target Audience(s): Psychiatrists, Internists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses, Psychiatric Administrators and Other Mental Health Professionals.
